So evidently the theology of MAGA-land social media interprets “Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt” not as pertaining to caring for immigrants but about being friendly to foreigners when they’re visiting on vacation. 🙄

Don’t look now, but the Executive Branch is now ignoring the order from the Judicial Branch. This seems like a major milestone in a campaign towards totalitarianism.

I see a lot of people going after Sen. Schumer for backing the CR funding the government and I get it. I also get that it’s a tough decision: vote yes, you give the president more power; vote no, you give the president more power. It’s a matter of opinion which route poses the least damage.

Congress has one job that they must do each fiscal year: pass a budget. Having failed again, they are basically extending previous year funding. While it’s amusing seeing the GOP pass a Biden-era budget, it also endorses DOGE, which in turn relinquishes some of Congress’s authority: a bad precedent!

Our man-child president is like an addict who acts out from time to time while everyone else tip-toes around him, trying not to offend or set him off. The unfortunate thing is that so many of our allies, from Canada to Ukraine, end up suffering in the wake of his temper tantrums.

It’s disheartening to see how uneducated the general population is about public servants. I obviously knew this, but having the disgust of an ungrateful public thrown in one’s face after so many years of hard work is upsetting to see.

Trump told CPAC that “We have escorted the radical-left bureaucrats out of the building and have locked the doors behind the them…We’ve gotten rid of thousands.” Public servants are neither right nor left; they just serve the American people - but one thing is clear: this isn’t about saving money.

This morning AG Bondi fired ATF’s Chief Counsel, Pamela Hicks. Within an hour, Hicks was given the memo from the AG, computer access was terminated, and she was escorted out of the building. Hicks was an exceptional and highly ethical chief counsel. Trump’s purge continues
