Thank you for replying and for the information. I had ruled out pain and the vet suggested maybe like a form of dementia for cats., and also that cats will do that if they are going deaf, but I don’t think that hearing is the problem.

I have two brothers I rescued at eight weeks old that will turn 21 years old next month about one and a half years ago. One of them started howling mainly in the middle of the night now it’s random anytime of day but not every day.
