I used to have the QA testers with code experience evaluate the senior coders work. That accomplished two things - got the senior developers to double check their code before a “junior” critiqued it to pieces, and got juniors educated on code quality

Also like “junior devs” … I wouldn’t see it quite like that. Agents are like Einstein with Alzheimer’s. Poor memory but often brilliant.

Actually I’m not so sure. I’m a senior dev architect and using AI coding for the last 6 months in addition to dev teams and I think that the monitoring of coding agents gets quite fatiguing after awhile. I think there’s opportunity for younger devs to prompt and watch. My best devs started as QA
