We collected our data online in Russia in 2022 using the Toloka crowdsourcing platform. Interestingly, we were among the last researchers able to gather this kind of politically sensitive data before Toloka tightened its censorship rules, now filtering out survey content related to politics.

Our study investigates how subtle reminders of the war in Russia affect attitudes toward redistribution. Among individuals who support the conflict, being prompted to think about it led to an increase in their preference for redistributive policies, partly due to greater trust in the government.
