I'm sad I have to go to work today so please enjoy a few hundred words of JM getting his (favorite and best alpha) JK to rescue him, ft. my weakness for writing cutely drunk characters that need to be saved from nonserious situations.
a snippet from my work of BTS fanfiction: His coworkers are doing another shot and somehow he finds himself doing one too, exhausted and muddled but wanting to fit in as he slumps back against the booth and stares blearily at the bodies on the dance floor. He thinks to check the time, a fleeting thought telling him that if it’s late enough he has an excuse to leave, but by the time the device is in his hand that thought is already gone and he’s left staring blankly at the dark screen, desperately trying to remember what he was doing. Then the screen lights up. He can’t process the message fast enough, but he does somehow recognize the name he has for Jeongguk in his contacts as it flashes across the screen. With fumbling fingers he unlocks it, and forces his reeling mind to focus on the words in front of him. Favorite & Best Alpha (Don’t Tell): Jimin are you free right now? I know it’s a little late but I thought maybe you could come over and we could watch a movie We haven’t seen each other for so long :( He’s not sure how long it takes him to actually understand the message, reading it over and over without any comprehension, but once he gets there he feels like crying. He could be cuddled up on the couch with his alpha, but instead he’s drunk and somewhere he doesn’t even want to be. Jimin: Aplha im not. Would he never want to see Jimin again? Then the screen lights up with an incoming call, and he sees it’s from Jeongguk. Jimin doesn’t think he’s answered a call faster in his entire life. “Hi,” he breathes into it, “miss you.” “Hi Jimin-ah,” Jeongguk is barely discernible through the line. “Can you go somewhere quieter?” “D’you miss me?” He asks, “There’s all these people here and I still miss you.” Quiet on the other end of the line and then, “Of course I miss you, but I can barely hear a word you’re saying. Is there somewhere you can go that’s less loud?” “Mmhm,” Jimin mumbles as he pushes himself out of the booth and towards the back of the club, stumbling past other patrons and going to a quieter room designated for phone calls and conversation. “Hi,” he whispers once it’s quieter. “Hi baby,” Jeongguk says, and Jimin can hear the way he’s smiling even though he can’t see his face.

JK claims to not like Christmas, JM claims to have never celebrated it before. Our sweet alpha might not have any clue what he's doing (on so many levels) but one thing he's determined to do is to help his shy, soft-spoken cabin neighbor experience the very best of the season
