And with that, Nata is able to finally heal. He has seen Arkveld is capable of freeing itself from its past, and in turn, so is he. As the species is reintroduced and they flourish, he too is able to turn over a new leaf and become more than just a Keeper. At least, that’s my interpretation. (5/5)

It’s managed to become a monster that’s naturally part of the ecosystem, where enough of it are born and grow to adulthood for it to become just another monster we hunt. It’s once scarcity is now a frequency that requires hunters to handle it just like any other monster. (4/5)

Hunters don’t tend to hunt monsters for the fun of it - quests are guild sanctioned and often are done so to protect either people’s lives or halt problems in the natural balance. With Arkveld becoming a canonically repeatable hunt, it finally is freed from the shackles of being a guardian. (3/5)

With Arkveld becoming a monster you can actively hunt at the end of the postgame, I think Nata’s beliefs surrounding wanting it to live and be free have fully come to fruition. While that may sound grim, it works in with the ecosystem protector mentality that we take on. (2/5)
