This is why I, at 42 years old, wear orthopedic shoes around my house.

I was 2 minutes into wrestling with a 84”x84” quilt on my tiny machine when the immense regret of not sending it out for quilting hit me.

Look for “longarm quilting services” in your area. Sometimes local quilt shops offer them, or know of people who do. You will provide the quilt top and the backing, the longarm quilter usually provides the batting.

Unfortunately the company told me (at 12:30pm) that they weren’t going to be able to come out today. I was not about to be locked in a room with those furry demons for another night, so I spent 3 hours just getting all the powder off the floors. I did more squats in one day than the rest of my life

Thank you, I appreciate it. I was tempted to go upstairs to my neighbor’s apartment and be like hey can you hug me I’m in chaos right now.

In the meantime, my cats and I have been locked in my bedroom overnight so they don’t come in contact with the powder. They’re rebelling, and I got 3-4 hours of sleep between their noise and nausea (presumably from the adrenaline crash). I just want to sob.

I called a local company and I’m hoping they can come out today to help clean up, and then maintenance can put in a new dishwasher. I’m lucky that I currently have the means to pay people who know what they’re doing and have the proper PPE for the job. /2
