Often times, this is a call to setting up alternative methods to logging in. The main reason that I am potentially deactivating FB is that the messenger app will still work. I just need to make sure that I can still log into my Quest, which while still Meta (like IG) isn't as rife with trolls.

While believable that he'd say that, it looks like this is a fake post. (Look at the lower-case k in the views. Real ones are capitalized)

Even if it was the Roman salute, it’s still fascism. Just an earlier tribute to it.
Beyond that, even if is was an accident, the people it empowered are taking it as tacit approval. To not shut that shit down immediately makes the “accident” moot.
