It today’s “Feelin’ old yet?” news, it’s the 30th anniversary of Toy Story. Oh, look. It’s the first DVD I ever bought.
My copy of Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box. This three disc boxed set released in 2000 has Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and a third disc with all the bonus features you could ever imagine.

Happy Batman Day! Got this guy for Christmas in 1989, when the Tim Burton movie ruled the land. Been hanging in my bedroom ever since. You used to be able to buy prints like this all the time in stores like San Francisco.

Japanese Canada Dry bottle - There was a liquor store around the corner from my house selling these for 90 yen. A remember a student once asked if Canadians really love their ginger ale, and I said we like it just fine.
A Canada Dry bottle. The glass is green, with the Canada Dry label front and centre. The only thing that suggests it's from Japan is "ginger ale" spelled in out in katakana (a Japanese alphabet) around the bottle's neck.

Stainless Steel Mug - You can barely make out my initials engraved on it. A thank you gift from my sister for being the videographer at her wedding. My sister says she chose me for the job because I was the only one she knew who was anal enough to take the job seriously.

Molson Export Mug - Speaking of Dad, he used to have quite the collection of beer mugs from his misspent youth. One day, Mom was tired of them cluttering up her China cabinet, so Dad boxed them up and took them to the garage. I took a shine to this one, so Dad said I could have it.

Red Lobster Typhoon - Last time I ate at Red Lobster was in the early 90s, for my birthday. They had a fancy cocktail on the menu called a Typhoon, and you got to keep the glass! So Dad had the drink and the birthday boy got to keep the glass.

And there's blood donation #19 in the books! Already got my next appointment booked for when Canadian Blood Services comes through town again. I'm going to have to do something to celebrate donation #20. Maybe a steak.

My first box of Count Chocula cereal for the season. This year, the makers of Count Chocula have teamed up with the Jim Henson Company to create Muppet versions of their mascots. So the box depicts a Muppet Count Chocula enjoying a a bowl of his cereal.
