Vampire's Vestige: A Vampire Hunter D Fanzine Writer: Chaos Greymistchild The Sacred Ancestor sent his sword across the length and breadth of the continent, a trip that took five hours even on the swiftest Noble flier. He flew during the day, leaving at noon and landing at dusk, his human blood giving him lease to do so awake, rather than in a coffin with a servant or wasting half the night away. He activated the cloak, hiding the flier, and then left. No Noble would dare touch a flier so closely associated with the Sacred Ancestor, and if anyone else dared to steal or wreck it, then he was sure he could take another transport from them. The world out here was sharp and bright with an almost untamed nature. Even the long arm of the Nobles was a little shy of absolute rule, here, where only the global weather control system and the distant laboratories of mutants touched it. The weather system had evidently decided tonight to be clear, because the moon was large and bright, a half-circle on the distant horizon as it began to rise.
