The complex sigil drawn by Haruhi Suzumiya three years before the start of the events in the light novels/anime that kickstarts all the events that takes place in the novels/anime. Except it turns out Kyon from 3 years time draws it after Older! Mikuru transfers him back in time with Young! Mikuru to ensure that the sign is drawn before returning him to his present time which is the Haruhi-From-Three-Years-Ago future, but still the past from the point of view of Young! Mikuru, but not as far in the past as it is for Older! Mikuru, and the whole event contradicting Young! Mikuru's explanation of time travel and how changes create non-ripple effects, as summed up by Yuki Nagati when she tells Kyon in the present/future/past/further past that, "A theory that is contradictory in itself cannot begin to explain contradictions inherent within it." Writing about time travel is so much fun.
