Her death was largely a result of my previously permissive actions, and the loss I felt about that was extremely intense for a few days.
I am very glad to have experienced it though, it made me reflect on my tendency to be an enabler, and I believe I am a better person for it.

In Pathfinder Kingmaker, there is a companion who is straight up evil, but can be redeemed if you confront her on it. I never confronted her right up until she was doing something that I could not bear, which ended in me and the rest of the party turning on her.
