I made my friend’s birthday cake: marble cake, custard between layers, German chocolate cake icing. I forgot baking powder in the first attempt. 16 eggs, 4 kinds of milk, 5 hours. My late husband was a pastry chef & I’m proud of myself. I learned so much.
