The Last Jedi switch up is NOT coming. Let me explain why:
It made over a $1B, more that TROS, it was the highest selling Blu-Ray of 2018, it had an A Cinemascore, it was praised universally by critics. Research at USC found only 20% of social media @ing Rian about TLJ was negative (1/4)

1. DC X Sonic. Sonic and friends teamed up with the Justice League and when the JL's earth was left defenceless, Sonic and friends suited up. This crossover was designed for merch; games skins feels like a no-brainer! (7/7)

2. Sonic Riders. Yes! How can Sonic and his friends be expected to ride extreme gear, if they don't have protective eyewear resting on top of their heads? They could also play in to Sonic Riders characters having specific proportions and there are plenty of characters they could do skins for. (6/7)

3. Rouge The Bat. Rouge's SA2 outfit is iconic, but she has had some other looks over the years. Her Heroes look is an iconic part of Team Dark, her Prime look is apparently canon so should be getting used elsewhere and she had a distinct look in another racing game (5/7)

4. Movie Shadow. They already have the Movie Shadow skin from the Sonic X Shadow Generations DLC: so stick it in there! There are also other characters from the Paramount sonic-verse they could adapt, maybe even Jim Carrey's Eggman? (4/7)

5. Knuckles with Hat. Those of us growing up in the DVD age the Sonic OVA was a huge piece of Sonic media and Knuckles's hat cast a huge shadow. It has since featured in skins in other games (as Treasure Hunter Knuckles) and his Paramount Plus show! No frills, just give us Knuckles in a hat! (3/7)
