Yayyyy!!!! Such a fun and cute game! Would love to see this and a playthrough of the original Gameboy version eventually and listen to your thoughts on the differences! Zelda is the best!

Also, I'm super excited to see what opportunities you've got going on! Good luck!

Your content is awesome! I believe that whatever you do and put out will be great!

Honestly, don't care about what others think because what you think is what truly matters, and if you're happy making something then other people will see that and enjoy it too 😁

I was thinking of making a special protocol called Game Server Preservation Network, of gspn:// with TLD .gspn and doing location based hashed domains when creating a server. Then on some cloud servers across the world having DNS resolvers that the game clients would use to play on a close server.

I game dev in Linux every day, for Windows, Linux, and consoles. Unity, UE4&5, and Godot all work just fine. Not to mention all standard programming languages and most IDEs. There are no problems game deving on Linux. Again, I do it every day! There are even distros made for game devs :)

You don't have to switch per say, but you can dual boot to try out a distro. Ubuntu is the most popular, but there are some Windows user-friendly distros like Mint and Zorin that are built on Ubuntu to help ease the transition. You can always abort on a dual boot if you don't like it too.

Best part is, when you move you can take it with you, just gotta update your address on your account. Then you never have to get a shitty ISP again. Or if you find a better ISP you can pause billing on SL until you might need it again. Pretty sweet model.

As much as I despise Elon Musk, Starlink is a fairly decent solution for situations like this where your only providers are kinda trash. A bit of money upfront for the equipment, but then it’s like $120 a month for like 275-400Mbps up and down.
