This revelation was inevitable. Those leaving ublue/bluesky/bluefin are just the latest in a long line of devs that have left the FOSS gaming development community in some part because of him. Just to name a few I worked closely with: Ruineka (ChimeraOS), fewt (SteamFork/JELOS), fluke (Asus Linux).

While Mario Land was obviously in part an april fools joke, it also had the full production value and depth of an actual lets play, and he took is seriously.
The Megaman prank was just him trolling and intentionally acting not like himself.
