So many of our CBs have fallen off. Bardsley, a mainstay particularly. 31yo McGuire comes in for France's return.
A draw doesn't really help, as we drew with Hungary, so in attacking we let Nasri in.
So we're fighting for 2nd but can win all our remaining games...

With Brown's form gone, & no replacements in sight, I return to Langfield in goal for the visit of N.Ireland.
Zarate comes back in too, and scores a crucial goal, along of course, with Johnston.
3pts but I feel 34yo Zarate could have been more effective this level overall...

We kept France really quiet especially Benzema. Lots to like about our side, although I kind of fell on the midfield combination and have been loathe to change.
The 31312 works in congesting the midfield and man marking up to 3 players can be effective...

Naturally we draw a horror group and will be on our way home soon.

We have 7 out for the visit of Czech Rep, but my concern is finishing. Baxter looks the part but cant score.
