They will oppose & hope that the longer local elections are delayed, the more ground they will regain. That’s why, sooner rather than later, the NPP will likely push for elections while their momentum remains strong.

For now, we watch & we wait.

Right now, the NPP is confident, even arrogant, but ultimately, they will be judged by results, not bravado.

The opposition is still struggling to counter the NPP’s popularity & the populism of the budget.

Despite 159 NPP MPs in power, they are battling a corrupt, entrenched bureaucracy of millions that resists change at every level. This isn’t a fight that can be won overnight.

Patience is necessary... but patience isn’t infinite.

It made me think of the mothers of the disappeared in the North & East, still searching, still fighting, still waiting for answers that may never come.

But beyond that, the film captures something undeniable... the way politics can corrupt institutions meant to protect & serve, twisting them into instruments of terror & impunity. The ultimate villain is not just individuals but a system that allows such horrors to unfold without justice.

... all to serve the greed of a few, consolidating power & siphoning wealth ever upward.

For the first time in my 50th year around the sun, I fear that my children will inherit a world more broken than the one we were given.
