Next following two panels are of Asriel looking concern and turning away (first panel is him in his dark world cloak then later in his normal cloth) He said "Maybe this is all a big mistake opening those fountains. These prophecies might be nothing but let's stop when we can, ok? I got accepted into a collage I wanted now so we can move on away. Let's leave these all behind, ok?" The last panel is of Dess opening mouth, she is swating there is a text "Leave these all---behind?" A big panel of Heavily shaded Dess with her wide open eye visible and just the word "NO!" Next panel shown Gerson's glass cast with hammer and dust and the word "No No!, There has to be--" Next panel is of Old man Gerson smiling "There has to be another way..." Directly continuing from The Splitting Path comic. Aka Dess learns that being the only adult figure to the eternal pre-teen is hard.

(Slight warning for animal cruelty / animal death / general violence )
A comic page for Deltarune. First panel is a human child han trying to cupping a butterfly. Second panel we see young Noelle and Kris in the forest. Kris successfully catch a butterfly. They said "Got it" Noelle excitingly said "Ahh! Kris! You caught a butterfly!" "I caught a butterfly" Kris affirmed. Third panel, Kris brings their cupped hand closer to Noelle face and said "Bleah!" with their tongue sticking out. Noelle laughed "Come on, Kris! You know I'm not afraid of butterflies. Fahaha!" The last panel we see Noelle continue to laugh in the foreground. Kris is looking at her, smiling A comic page, First panel is Kris begining to tearing the living Butterfly wing apart. Second panel they said "Love me" Third panel is Noelle's shock face. She said "Kris?" Kris continue on, saying "Love me not" Forth panel Noelle is crying now "Enough, stop it! You are hurting it. This isn't funny, Kris!" Fifth panel is the butterfly wing falling down and Kris' text bubble "Love me" Last panel is them grinning wide. A comic page. First page is Dess hitting Kris in the head with the large sound effect "Bonk!" They are saying "Love me n--urgh!" and squishing the butterfly on accident, tongue sticking out and eye widen. Next to them Noelle is screaming. Second panel is a picture of the top of the tree and the bird flying away. There is a text bubble from Noelle saying "Ah! It's dead!! Kris squished the butterfly!" A Deltarune comic page. Asriel’s eye widened on the first panel. On the second, he said “...! That’s not what I–” but got interrupted by the knight who pointed its finger at his chest and said “You talk all high and mighty but at the end of the day–”. We see Dess spreading her hand and grinning wildly on the next panel “You are the same as me! Someone who would do something heinous once they’re backed into the corner!” Asriel says, on the next panel “What are you talking about!? I didn’t do anything–” Dess interrupts him again on the next panel, hand on her chest “That’s right! You didn’t despite knowing full well where I was!” We see a flashback depicting Asriel standing in front of the bunker in the next panel. He shouts “Dess please Noelle miss you” On the panel after, it pans to the body with blank eye and antlers looking at him in secret. Dess continues her speech bubble from the previous panel “You knew! I saw it! But you didn’t tell anyone, do anything. Because at the end of the day it’s okay if it’s someone like me who has to disappear!” Her eyes widened in anger on the last panel as she shouted. A Deltarune comic page. Asriel is stuttering “I–I thought you needed more time to yourself! I thought–” Dess interrupts him, holding the bat “Years!? Really now, Asriel!?” On the next panel, she is heavily shaded, eyes blank, mouth full of teeth. The the net panel she is looking more like the longed haired monstrous deer, the antlers resemble more to the knights. Empty eyes and mouth full of teeth, she is gripping the corner of the panel “Because to me it looks more like you saw a chance to cut yourself loose and took it! No one will come to the dark world if they don’t know–no prophecies will move forward. No one will hold you down from all your accomplishments. Our plans are practically the same.” In the last panel the knight opens its maw wide, claw hands gripping to corners of the panel like it is crawling out of it “All you have to do is to forget someone like me!” it shouted. A Deltarune comic page. Asriel is looking at the knight in shock. The second panel shows young Kris with empty eyes holding a knife ready to stab Asriel. Asriel asked “Kris?” Dess looks shocked from behind both of them. In the next panel we see Young Kris’ eyes widen in shock but bright. They are panting and still holding the knife up. Then, in the next panel, they lower the knife and look down. Hairs casting shadow on their face “Leave.” In the last panel, they turn away but Asriel is made to follow them. Reaching out, he shouts “Wait! Kris, Let’s t–” A Deltarune comic page. We see something slash above Asriel’s head and destroy buildings in the background. Asriel looks shocked. The second panel is the knight holding the sword forward. It said “LEAVE”. Asriel’s grimace deepened on the next panel then on the last panel, he cast the flaming blade and said “No, never again.”

Kris’ body wouldn’t have become the cage if it wasn’t for what I did!” The next panel is the depiction of the cracked earth from the prophecy “We were so afraid of what’s going to happen to us, to our town, to our friends in the dark world…” The last panel depict a delta rune symbol “That we forget that at the end both worlds can be saved. Those are no heroes. There are text boxes from Dess’ monologue: “When I did what I did, maybe it really is like what you’ve said.” The next panel shows Dess looking shocked as the darkness unveils from her “It was an impulsive emotion-driven decision. If I must leave all these behind then I rather be on this side, as a darkner” The next panel we see Dess alone in the dark, she looks around and shout something like “Hello?” “Can anyone hear me?” “Where am I!?” while the text box continues “When I first opened my eyes, everything was dark, not what I expected. It’s unlike how you’d normally wake up in the dark world so I knew that something must’ve gone wrong” The next panel, Dess turns around to see a crying young Kris walking towards her, sniffling. “And gone wrong it had. It was already shitty of me to bring them along and ask them to do it…” Kris is still crying in the next panel, sniffling: “Hnnn, Dess? Where are you, I’m so sorry”. In the last panel we see Dess pull Kris towards her. A Deltarune comic page. In the first panel we see Dess hugging the crying Kris while muttering “Shh it’s okay. I’m here. I’m so sorry. There is a text that said “What a sad existence…I thought at least it’d be good that the Dreemurrs and the town will have this Kris back. It’s better that there is only one troubled kid missing that day.” The next panel is of Dess’ missing poster litter the floor. Noelle’s shadow is creeping toward it. We see Noelle in the next panel, she is looking down with the sad empty expression. The street lamp is casting her a shadow. On the last panel we see Noelle’s eye get wider in shock. What, do you think I’m some kind of depressed edgelord who takes it out on the world by ending it?” Asriel answers “Um…no? She catchs the falling present day Kris and shout "Let go!!" Third panel is Susie holding onto the injured Kris. Their arm limb broken and bloody. Around them are black swords and behind them are ralsei's scarf. Susie said angrily "What kind of monster..." A comic page. First panel is young Kris on the back background looking mad. There is one black out panel inbetween then the third panel we see Dess shouting at young Kris who cross their arm and facing away. Dess said "What is wrong with you!? We need them!!" Kris replied "It is okay. They have the angel with them. They will live. It need to be convincing, right? Did you not also throw swords at them?" Behind them, Dess splutters "Wha--but I didn't...like...grab their arm and start crushing it apart like you did!!" Forth panel is Kris saying "You said toys are okay to do it." The comic ends with the present day light world Noelle, Susie and Kris talking. Noelle said "Gosh, Kris, remember when you used to tear bugs limb from limb in front of me? Why did you stop?" Susie turning around to look at Kris "Dude, that was sick." Kris response with the black text box with the heart, read "Yeah, that was dumb. I grew out of it" Behind them we can see the kitchen knife being tugged away.
