I've been to both. They're pretty close taste wise to me

yeah I'm not crazy about it either. Never was into Synplant 2 either. At least on it you have some knob parameter controls but still... makes me appreciate analog and old school digital gear and how they were made (and acoustic instruments ,) that much more now.
