Waze editor, Methodist local preacher, Dad. I also have a model railroad
Completed tapestry, "Pole Position".
A 1920s racing car at speed, kicks up the dirt as it speeds past a group of spectators.

Tapestry wools from Anchor and DMC, a half cross-stitch is used on the printed canvas.

Now it needs framing and hanging on a wall

The most annoying part of tapestry (for me), the sky, is complete. Not long to go, and the picture will be finished. Large blocks of plain blue sky is not my favourite part of any picture. #tapestry #crossstitch

I've no idea what I planted, but it's in bloom. The photo shows the petals as lilac, but in the evening light they are a baby blue colour. #flowers #gardening

Daffodils in Hatfields Green, Southwark. A green space hidden away on the south bank of the Thames, on the site of an envelope factory.

First snowdrops of the season in bloom (I'd forgotten I had planted them, so it was a lovely surprise to see them). #flower #gardening

Finished my daughter's Christmas present (she got bored after 7 diamonds). Diamond art picture of a unicorn standing amongst flowers in the moonlight. There are LEDs which light up and randomly flash. #art

Turned the canvas on a little more today. The picture pops once the wool is in place. The canvas is approx. 15" top to bottom, so winding it on feels like an achievement moment each time

Progress made on my tapestry today. At the point of turning the canvas on to start the next section.

It's always interesting to see what the next 2-3 inches of picture will look like. #crossstitch

With Winter knocking on the door, the Pansies are still putting on a good show.

This is the first time the orange ones have shown themselves. #flowers

Little by little, it comes together, one stitch at a time.

Little pieces like this are all I typically see, small choices that affect the broader picture.
