I started this painting 8 months ago (see previous post) and I finished it today. There are some paintings that I’ve done that I truly love. This is not one of them. It’s a good reminder that not every artwork is going to be a masterpiece and that’s ok.

I started working on this one almost 8 months ago and then life got in the way. It will be green outside again soon, a good opportunity to resume working on it again. 🤞

A long weekend trip to Cape May is always the best medicine for late winter blues.

I was cleaning out my home office yesterday and discovered a bunch of photographs from 20 years ago. This is not one of them. Unbeknownst to me, my mom was doing a similar thing. She found this photo of me holding my first cat, Jingle Bell. You can tell he’s thrilled about this. Taken circa 1989.

New adventure for the new kid! 🚙

I’ve had my new Outback for about two weeks now and with the fake spring weather this week, I decided to go on an after work adventure to the Lehigh Gorge for some trail running.

I love a blue sky, not just the app, but a robust blue summer sky is a sight to behold. This one is done with a blend of Terry Ludwig chalk pastels and Sennelier pastel for that deep blue. Spring is 10 days away. It will look like this again soon.

This one is called “Sailor’s Delight.” It is a sunset over the bay at Cape May Point, NJ. This one was an early piece and rather ambitious for me at the time. 😂

Here’s another pastel drawing done last year, inspired by the cliffside shores of Acadia National Park.

Hi there! I’m going to use this space to show some of my art from the past year. This is a piece I made last November of a rail tunnel while on vacation. It is a blend of chalk pastel and pencil on sanded paper.
