My dad has cancer and can't walk well. That didn't stop him from going to the Hands Off rally in Santa Fe, New Mexico and circling the rally while honking and cussing at Trump and Musk. Proud of my dad. #handsoff #democracy #newmexico

A painting I did to illustrate the many foods bees pollinate. Without bees these go. Neonicotinoids are largely responsible for the demise of bees as are habitat loss and monocropping. #savethebees #diversity #permaculture

This painting is called "The Bee Keeper". It sold to a collector in NYC. I think it's still one of my favorites.

My take on Pueblo pottery. Acrylic and gold leaf. I just love the black and white pottery.

Starry snake I painted a few years ago. Fitting now that my permaculture farmstead is called "Snake Hill". youtube.com/@snakehillpe...

A tiny bundle of sage I painted. Mixed media with gold leaf. While sacred to Southwestern and California tribes White sage is over harvested for profit. Cedar and sweet grass are acceptable so consider them as substitutes for burning.

Here's a painting I did about the Spirit of tobacco that a collector has since purchased. For many indigenous people tobacco is an offering to the ancestors.

Was stuck in Buffalo for 3 days during this latest blizzard. We barely made it via the plane too. 🙏 Bless plow drivers!

Here's a portrait I did in 2020 of the apostle Sitting Bull. My family is Taos Pueblo and White. I now live on Seneca land. I will always honor the ancestors.

I'm in my first union job at age 46. Most of my life I toiled under corporate abuse with the threat I could be fired at any moment for any minor infraction. Constantly full of fear of starvation and wreckage. The difference is palpable. Unions are the way for the working class.

Cheese pumpkin we grew. We save the seeds of course and for dinner I roasted it with blue cheese and walnuts!

We're canning cranberries we bought on sale for next year. We try to put up as much food as possible from our garden & store. Between climate shocks, crop failures, delivery system decline & an incoming cruel American oligarchy regime we know food prices will only increase. Old world skills help.

Currently reading "Radical Homemakers" by Shannon Hayes. It's amazing. As my family continues to downshift from mindless consumerism to thoughtful producers at a local level we find it very empowering to get off the corporate consumer hampster wheel.

Trying to teach my cat what his job is. 🙄 It's sad I can catch mice with my "bare" hands better than him.

As an artist who works in reproductive justice and who believes in regenerative agriculture it often feels like the entire universe is against me. Burn out, Exhaustion, Grief follow. But my grandmother taught me to walk in beauty. So I do. Notes to myself like this help. I hope you'll walk with me.
