it gives the same vibes as Brooklyn 99 attacking lawyers because the cop characters don't want their work to be "wasted" by suspects getting a good defense. the point is justice, not punishment.

of course in a book about fictional serial killers, you want to say the serial killer shouldn't get a fair trial. but it's irrelevant. the justice system is already broken, we shouldn't encourage breaking it even more by saying "obviously" guilty people don't deserve a good lawyer

I'm also feeling more for Greg this time around (logically, I am an adult and was not when the first season came out). He loved his wife and then she died so their child could be born and now his child's life is constantly in danger, and the people raising his son don't respect him. Poor guy.
