Policy issues such as poverty, economics, taxes, race, class & health are my passion.
A lot to digest: collaborating with dozens of community & governmental organizations. It will take coordinated efforts to implement the provisions of #OBBBA with diminishing resources while minimizing the damage to people’s access to #SNAP & #Medicaid
This document reflects contributions over the late summer and early fall of 2025 by Coloradans who shared their expertise in public benefits systems; discussed current current obstacles to public programs, training, & decent jobs; & debated solutions. Coloradans need health care and child care to be productive and to care for themselves and their families. Education is an investment in a better future. For too many, these basics are unaffordable. This offers a solution. #cokids #cohealth #cobudget

The “big beautiful bill” #OBBB is basically an irresponsible package of tax breaks focused on corporations & the wealthy, paid for with increased US debt & shifting program costs to the states. #coleg is left to deal with the huge budget hole #OBBBA

Thanks for your reporting @chalkbeat.org . Those who have family cared for in early childhood education settings or in nursing homes may find themselves unexpectedly personally impacted by overzealous and senseless #ICE deportation of critical members of our community.

Senate Republicans made a horrible House bill even worse. House Republicans should step back & find the courage to say no to any bill that would raise costs & take health coverage & food assistance away from people struggling to afford the basics.
