Almost all of them heard, in one form or another, that he's a con artist, yet they chose to support him with their votes. I have a limited amount of sympathy for people who were capable of ignoring obvious facts for the last decade. It's too late, MF'ers. You should have opened your fucking eyes.

Terribly happy he's not. He spoke to my heart with this passage from Requiem for the American Dream. He followed this with paragraph after paragraph detailing their denial of the climate crisis. I'm confident he feels even more strongly now.

I appreciate the positive, optimistic message here, but when cynicism applies, it applies. We can welcome those who legitimately recant offending views, but they have a sky-high bar to reach in proving their intentions are pure. This scenario was too predictable for anyone to claim they didn't know.
