I would not have a discussion with Know-nothings either, and that is what we are rapidly approaching (if not already there) with these people.

Might as well try engaging with a random ‘the end is nigh’ street corner shouter, you’ll get as good of a conversation there.

Why engage with bad faith actors? Why defend them?

You cannot have a discussion with someone that fundamentally does not share the same reality.

It’s as if I say the sky is blue and they say ‘no it’s purple with green polka dots’. You cannot have a discussion with someone like that, its useless.

Then pick a better example, the Babylon Bee is not exactly in need of defending here.

They like to punch down to be ‘funny’, it’s not, no more than that ‘joke’ about Puerto Rico at the MSG event.
