Funny memes. The Nobel Prize medal is roughly $10,000. Trump is prohibited from accepting something of this value personally. It may one day be requested by the Presidential Library, but must be purchased for its value. Of course the next President could always just give it back to Machado.

Let’s say Republicans grow a spine and impeach Hegseth. Trump will pardon him of any crime in the US.

But, let’s say Venezuela charges Hegseth as well and requests extradition. Could a Democrat President in 2029 order Hegseth detained and extradited to Venezuela? Then Venezuela to ICC?

Or Democrats today are really Reagan Republicans. Both parties have drifted right, while people like Kasich (and myself) have stayed consistent.

If the question is asked of you:

I work to live and I live to read. Right now I’m reading _____. How about you?

If they answer what they do for a living, you can always steer back to, “yes, but what do you do for fun?” Don’t be pretentious and assume everybody enjoys reading as much as you do.

Theedian wage includes full and part-time employees, and those working overseas. For Starbucks, this is typically a part-time barista. At about $19/hr for the average barista, the median employee is probably working 15 hours per week.

The Northwest Ordinance set the population to become a state at 60,000, which in 1787, would have been about 1.5% of the 3.9M population. 1.5% of today’s population would be 5.1M people.

Enact a law to require 1.5% population to maintain statehood. 26 states would need to consolidate or eliminate

If the DNC wants to get serious about governance, sending David Hogg packing is a good first step.

Let’s do the math again: 17,000,000 / 192 (pay ratio or CEO to median employee) = $88,542 or $42.57/hr

This is 44% HIGHER than the living wage for a single and 70% HIGHER than a family of four with two working adults.

If every Fortune 500 employee gave up their salary and paid the 31,000,000 employees that work for them, it would amount to a 13 cent an hour raise.

It might sell you a few more books, but let’s not pretend that fomenting anger at a few individuals amounts to any kind of real governing policy.

Prominent Democrats should be loudly proclaiming that when the party retakes the Executive Branch, prosecutions will follow. Force them all to be issued pre-emptive pardons (which I believe will be issued regardless).

This is what can be expected of an Administration mostly concerned with the performative acts of governing, but not at all concerned about actually governing.

Have you seen the price of eggs?
March 23, 2025 at 2:51 PM
The price of eggs is so high, even the US Government can’t afford them and has had to resort to begging for help to put on the Easter Egg Roll.

We have an Alt National Park Service. If the formal one won’t do it, an Alt IOC should form to host one. I’d suggest Calgary.
