An alt future 2XXX map of south America, only loosely related to the African map I did a while back. The big changes here are the Argentina has experienced a split over socialism, the US and it's puppet in a conquered Venezuela control the north. Brazil is undergoing a partition. More in alt text.

Venezuela is a US puppet with the last gov. being couped by a right wing dictator. Colombia, a Neoliberal republic has annexed Equator and invaded northern Peru. The Bolivian Socialist Republic invades Peru backing left wing militia from the south. Brazil became a social democracy and decolonized much of the Amazon into a native republic during a civil war to overthrow their US back Junta, but Bolivia and Amazonia are preforming revolutionary actions in western Brazil. Fearing the collapse of Brazil the unitary Neoliberal states of Paraguay and Uruguay invade Brazil. Argentina experienced a civil war which saw Chile taking most of the southern territories, the Falklands becoming an independent serious of city states, and the core of Argentina being split between rich land owner backed dictatorship in Colorad Argentine, with the urban/industrial core of the nation being renamed after Dr. 'Che' Guevara as it embraces Marxist Leninism.
