The aim should be to focus investment upstream- not to create hospitals on every street corner. If we continue to see shifting hospital services as the answer we will continue to see growing demand for these services. As the population becomes older, this isn’t a solution.

For me, the idea of care closer to home shouldn’t start with “getting things out of hospital” it should be about investing in primary and community care to manage chronic conditions that only hit hospital because of underinvestment in these services.

That would be a list of suggestions I would be after too. I can’t quite get the right balance here - a bit too serious, and threads - not quite enough serious……the challenge of multiple platforms. Maybe we should all just move to Tik Tok 🤔
