Here is my custom of the Special Visitor, City of Truro for the Take Along range. Made from a Take Along Molly and a ERTL City of Truro, I'm proud to reveal a new custom after so long!

Hiya folks! Small update. I’m back home from college for the summer, hoping to start doing custom work. My 3D printer broke while at school, so it’ll be a second before you see anymore from that. In the mean time, here’s some fun parts swaps I did in planning for future customs!

Jinty is now real! Hooray!

He could be a little longer, but since this is only a prototype, I think the results are great nonetheless.

I love prototyping for future projects. I modeled Take Along Gordon into a CAD software just to see if I can do it, and it worked out splendidly!
Hopefully this prototype can help me progress towards making custom models like Flying Scotsman, Green Arrow, etc. 🤞🏻

Heyo! Awhile ago, I got bored and decided to make a Wooden Railway custom of the Sigrid of Arlesdale! Since I'm not personally a TWR user, I decided recently to put it up for sale for interested parties! Link below!

…but deep inside the old tunnels,
Someone hides away.
Too scared to come out and see us,
And too scared to say his name.

Next on getting a new smoke box; Luke!
If you have any suggestions for engines who should get a parts upgrade, leave a comment!

…I shall find ways to cut you down to size. In other words, your career is, uh... ahem, on the line. Need I say more?

Two years later in July 2018, both twins would receive updates, having their bonnet ladders sanded off, being repainted once again with the addition of dry transfer decals for their names, and clay faces molded from that of Paxton's. Later plans would arise to have them wear Capsule faces...

Dating to May 2016, both Splatter and Dodge were created using Take n Play Paxtons, with virtually no difference between the base models making them perfect for a set of twins. Beyond using paper faces, the models themselves were not physically altered beyond getting repainted.

"You’re late!" He snapped.
“I know!” said Duncan. “It’s that smelly diesel’s fault! Rusty tries to teach me how to stay on the rails, and then goes off, leaving me to find my own coaches!”

He would go on to receive a rather poorly reshaped Take Along Skarloey face to substitute for his paper face between then and the fall of 2017.
Current Status: In Need of a Makeover (he's ugly as sin)

Made December 2015, Wilfred was nothing special. He got a nameplate and number replacement, as well as silver Sharpie on his side rods. Between then and March 2016, he would have his face removed and replaced with a paper one, his buffers painted red, and his "second dome" painted gold.

He would receive the valences, presumably out of card, but would lose his decals, removed prior to the repaint he received. His eyebrows were also removed for possible new ones to differentiate them from Spencer. They would never receive new decals or eyebrows.

Posted in December 2015, Mallard would hold the title of my first "finished" custom. Made from a Take Along Spencer, they would remain in this state until at least July 2016, where I decided they needed valences and a proper updating.

Over the next few days, I'm going to try and do an overview on the customs that I've made over the years, so that fans new and old can see them like they would an old friend, or peer upon something new they haven't seen prior! 😄
