Yeah, I like his earlier stuff much better,
and I have a lot of respect for his dedication to the craft of film design. But his last couple of movies have just been dull. It’s the Tim Burton thing, where they’re too squeamish to actually get freaky, and not serious enough to evoke real emotion.

In a way, I feel like we have it easier in some parts upstate. Places like Columbia county are too rural and remote for the party to operate out of, the way that a city-adjacent county like Nassau’s is. People here have been able to get some decent Democrats.
