Over the past couple of weeks, our first-year MAES students engaged in a simulation of the European Council, getting a taste of diplomacy in action! This year’s debate covered a variety of topics, including trade, tariffs, and energy policy. We can’t wait to see them taking on these issues!

On 9/23, CGES Professor Emeritus Dr. Roger Chickering joined us for a discussion on The German Empire, 1871-1918. Arguing that the empire was plagued with domestic conflict, Dr. Chickering offers a new perspective on the German Empire’s development.
