Hey, this is a major mistake in the videos. Sorry about that.
Set the modifiers as in this image. Vertex Group only on the first one, second one has Multi Modifier on instead!
I'll have to make a correction for that vid...

The Mixamo addon for Blender 4.4 now has a new repository.
The addon still mostly worked but applying animations was broken because of the new Slotted Actions in 4.4. Thanks ⁨TinkerBoi for the fix!
