"I asked my cat a question about investments. The answer I got may surprise you." -Journalism now, I guess

S.C.A.R.S. was a game.

Ah, but how would choose between that and JOU 104: CIRCLE THE WAGONS
November 14, 2025 at 1:39 AM
Yes! The normal response I have as a generic white guy is to say, "Huh, it'd probably be nice to work with some folks that don't look and think exactly like me." Same when I look at my ward committee (hint: volunteers welcome)

From your post to the ether, bud!

Why do polls matter? He isn't up for reelection...and they've gerrymandered the House so thoroughly (not including new stuff) that those members are semi-safe? And that's a 2026 problem for them, anyway. Not being a doomer, just looking realistically
November 13, 2025 at 1:56 AM
Oh I get your apprehension, but norms...ehhhhh, shoot first if the opposition tried to overthrow your semi-successful ~250 year old democratically elected government
November 13, 2025 at 1:18 AM
This is social media, man! We're not writing scientific papers. Ppl understand what the op meant. We clearly agree on the badness. I mean no ill will...except maybe to Bob, hahah
November 13, 2025 at 1:12 AM
I think we agree in principle, to be clear! You ARE right on the criminality, but everything political is not litigated in a courtroom
November 13, 2025 at 1:07 AM
Dude is focused on LB saying 2021 instead of xx:xx October x 2020. It's infuriating semantics mountain psychosis!
November 13, 2025 at 1:05 AM
Eh, then someone release this "damnable to anyone without lawyer brain" trove and take the hit. Let the court of public opinion move a needle. Pieces fall where they may (assuming our trash excuse for journalism does something with it...😬) It's the actual moral thing to do! Does no one have decency?

Fine, whatever, he rounded up for convenience. His clear "the dude sat on it" point stands.
November 13, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Sorry, should've been specific. That's literally all I know him for. And arguably all anyone does...
November 13, 2025 at 12:32 AM
Ok. He had a *book's prepublication time* before that. Seems like that'd take someone with integrity to, uh, earlier than October 2020 to reveal the tea!
November 13, 2025 at 12:30 AM
Interesting. I know nothing of his record prior, but the record of the national press in the last 20 years just gives me "wanted to sit at the cool kids table but couldn't in high school so making up for it in their profession" vibes
November 13, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Did he report it immediately when he knew it? No? Then he sat on it like a greedy coward. Carrying water for these grubs is sad.
November 13, 2025 at 12:17 AM
But it's not just the South. It's an indifference to corruption and "Chinatown" acceptance of bad behavior bc speaking up might jeopardize a bit of convenience for folks. I don't know how you convince people to accept less in terms of lifestyle if that is the consequence of doing the right thing
November 12, 2025 at 11:39 PM
I am worried that, ultimately, we have gotten to a point where "I'll just keep my head down is the norm." It's not even just rich and influential people. I have been in nonprofit meetings where calling out the fire department for obviously egregious BS is taboo because then future things get dragged
