Oh and he was 13 so he was on older side and he had stage 4 tonsils (touching each other ) wild!

Bradley was was ok day 1 and it progressively worsened quickly day 2-day 11. It was long and even though I am a nurse it was sad to watch. I am so glad she is feeling well 💜🩷💜🩷💜🩷💜🩷💜

He enjoyed things he could suck on once he started getting hungry and unable to chew so he was suck on biscuit or pancake until it broke down enough to swallow. Liquids got old. Week 2 was just as uncomfortable so it’s ok if she’s not improved for a solid 2 weeks. Don’t panic 💙

My son was 13 when he had his tonsillectomy. As a nurse you know the jists, however the best advice is whether she likes it or not have her gently open her jaw little bits through the day… so it doesn’t stiffen and keep throat moist. Small frequent sips of spoon worked well for my son for a few days
