One young staff member, who is a former participant, spoke beautifully about the importance of fully funding K-12 programs and about what it means to have grown into a leader, now giving back to the community, because of his participation in CFL afterschool.

In the afternoon, our staff testified at the preliminary budget hearing for Children & Youth and spoke about the need for the city to raise the afterschool rates for elementary and middle school programs and register contracts promptly.
