Yup, even though KPop has some bangers (Golden not being my favourite), and Nick Cave devastated me in Train Dreams, Last Time I Seen the Sun should be given the Oscar.

yeah, right?

never played the two before, because, if I remember correctly, the player doesn't get to control the other characters in the party.

don't know if it will be different this time.

but, man, those are some nice trailers 😄

And then, the ending is about pointlessness. If this happens, just hope that you are one of the lucky ones that got to safety, because, in the fallout, there won't be some intellectual codification that will help us finally comprehend why we do these things to ourselves.

The most intelligent, the most prepared, or even those best equipped with other technologies to assist them are ALL unprepared to deal not only with the cause-and-effect ramifications that a situation like this beckons, but also with the scale of the numbers we're talking about.

But the movie is nihilist about atomic weaponry. The point is for the shoe to not drop, because no one has an illumination about this reality. It's a layer removal after layer removal, without being more clarified about the subject.

Not in total, because the First Lady is indeed reconnecting back to Nature, and nurturing instead of destroying.

I liked that the filmmakers here subverted that expectation. Even if, as audience, we are occupied with non-nihilistic solutions of pacification or retaliation in each of the new perspectives, the point of the movie is nihilism.

I don't see the non-illuminating nature of the alternate perspectives as a bug of the film, but more like a feature.

More often than not, these 'Roshomon'-like structures lead to one of the perspectives being the illuminating one.

It's so funny that it is a subset we call "Korean cinema", but those are some of the best movies made in the last 30 years. If we add to that "Iranian cinema" we would get such an amazing list with just two countries.

I would actually believe in Santa if this happened to me 😅

That movie is so well constructed. It amazes me how they managed to make it funny, because that degree of precision sometimes leads to soulless expression.
