Low- to moderate-income people in 30 cities and counties can get free help with legacy planning services, thanks to this program by @cfefund.bsky.social. UMass Boston gerontologists and Boston College economists partnered on this project, which empowers more people to protect their assets.

Today, @cfefund.bsky.social announced the launch of free legacy planning services as a core component of their nationwide Financial Empowerment Centers initiative. This one-on-one financial counseling program offers residents access to help with legacy planning at no cost.

Congrats to #BankOn partner Rio Grande Credit union on the success of their Bank On certified accounts! Since 2022, members have opened more than 2,800 FreshStart accounts, generating $1.62 million in loan balances and $190,000 in mortgages. Thanks to Bank On Burque for supporting this work!
