A tiny mayfly, the size of a small mosquito, on our window just now. The double compound eyes of male mayflies are bonkers - the "turbinate" (turban shaped) upward pointing eyes apparently see mostly ultraviolet, to navigate at dusk and spot females above them. Shot at 5X and cropped. #insects 🐙🌿
