The only immediate peace solution that Ukraine could pursue would be appeasement. Which is unacceptable and would accomplish nothing. Russia won't stop at whatever line in the sand they're fighting for now unless their hand is forced.

It should be but it isn't. There's a wide variety of reasons for that. I've already elaborated on a few.

The point is not "conservatives don't go to college," the point is that a college campus is going to have a dramatically higher rate of queer folk than elsewhere

We *prefer* to, but moving to a safer city is usually the only option, because of the reasons stated. Moving a town over and commuting to your old job is a lot easier than finding a new job in a new state

Numerous queer people go to college specifically because they hope to find community and get into a career in a field that's more friendly to them. That's why I went (and am going back to grad school) and it's a really common story to hear

I didn't say they go "because they lean left." I said it concentrates left-leaning people. Converting people to more left-leaning beliefs is part of that, but there's numerous factors. And not everyone goes to college for a leg up; that's a broad generalization.

I've been to numerous campuses and while some colleges are sketchier than others, accreditation means teaching facts, and the facts of reality have a left-leaning bias. The reason college-educated folks across the board lean left is because they're more likely to believe in reality.

Like, I gotta emphasize i am queer and I've spent a lot of my life in queer community, the vast majority of out and proud queer people I've met in big cities are from middle of nowhere towns, and they moved to the city to find a home

"Common sense" is not a statistical proof. Within red states queer people have a tendency to migrate to big cities where they'll feel safer. We can't just say "typically these people answer a third as often so we can just multiply whatever they say by three" because it becomes guesses on guesses

I agree that countless queer folks are still closeted but the thing about closeting is that it's essentially impenetrable. We cannot know how many people are closeted, and guessing based on what the numbers look like in more queer-friendly spaces is dubious work at best.

1. I went to college. College campus is a stretch to call "public space" as it's generally a place only for students, staff, and designated guests that concentrates left-leaning people, especially queer folk.
2. Extrapolating to a population based on nebulous poll response rates is poor statistics.
