You don’t need to *use* the second card except for rare scenarios, so it’s not actually two bills. Also bumps your total credit limit, which can help you stay under the “30% credit usage” indicator which lowers your score

Having a backup is never a bad idea - in case one gets frozen or maxed out or needs to be replaced, you still have something. And, hateful as the credit industry is,more accounts for longer is better for your score
