It looks like they’re getting ready to pour footings next week for the new Kelly St bridge.
Construction/excavation site near my house. In the lower foreground at the base of a carved out hill lie 2 perfect wood framed rectangles. Atop the hill, the mighty high hoe rests. One can see a bright blue porta-potty behind the hoe and 3 orange and white barricades across the road that ends abruptly now at the construction site.

I am truly aghast to see my #Medicare promoting this vile man in relation to any aspect of health.

Every other year, Nancy, Tom and I do the Great Soybean Field Adventure. This was Day 1 for them, day 2 for me.
Under a heavy grey sky stand three smiling, muddy compatriots: Nancy still holds her hoe, Tom sports my dad’s army ranger chapeau, I have exchanged my muddy shoes for blue flipflops. There are the beginnings of rows of soybean plants behind us that appear to go all the way to the far horizon, but they don’t. There is a small grove of trees back there that cover an old mine shaft. #TheGreatSoybeanFieldWalkingAdventure 2025 has begun

Our #Caturday has been somewhat fraught. After the mudča removed 2 sutures, she was relegated to The Cone. Happily, after removing it herself 3 times, she and I had a chat, and she’s adapting.
Young all black feline with a clear plastic cone around her head demonstrates she can still eat treats from a bowl. The white ribbon affixing the cone around her neck gives her a rakish demeanor.
