(2/2) helps to regulate my breathing. sometimes if i need to i will just lay flat in my living room, nothing underneath me. it’s nice if you struggle with abstract grounding, since it’s literally putting your body on the ground.

shocking your system in some way can help: splashing your face with cold (COLD) water, holding an ice cube, eating a sour candy or a sip of lemon juice. something to abruptly cause your brain to focus on whatever sensation has interrupted the panic. i also find laying down flat on the floor (1/2)
