A shame if this is a roadblock for IBX. DLR has shown a model of adding a heavily automated light rail system to an integrated transit network to be highly successful in London.

As such, Labour here basically continues a trend of UK governments since 2005 - don't acknowledge the decline, just try and manage it until a magical solution hopefully appears, and find some distracting issues in the interim

It's had systemic issues for years - from dwindling subsidised housing stock as laws forced local authorities to offer their stock for sale to tenants at cut prices and not use the cash to build replacements, to widespread NIMBY and anti-development sentiment - even commuter rail pricing!

Huge part of the issue WRT housing is that even more than most western countries, a huge amount of people's retirement in the UK is predicated on owning their house which appreciates in value. The housing crash preceding the recession just kept house prices flat and that was still a disaster.

It's odd that Trump guys are coming after NSAIDs so hard, medicines which are so widely used that their safety and efficacy when taken correctly is essentially undeniable. I'd accuse them of having a strategy if I didn't know they weren't capable of it

The reductions are implemented through Traffic Management Initiatives - those orders apply to all aircraft movements at the facilities and airspace affected, and involve delaying ground movements, slowing approaches and holding aircraft. It's not just telling airlines to cut their schedules.

Had a similar experience getting diverted to Calgary Christmas 2016 on a flight from London to Oakland. Noticed on the map before they said anything. Think it was a young kid taken ill. Hope they were okay in the end.

partly it feels like the Trump admin is way more likely to pump up the fascist spyware in general, but also it seems like Palantir doesn't have nearly as much exposure on their balance sheet compared to NVIDIA, who are presumably buying up as much fab space as they can and spending huge on R&D
