Found a woods with a very very big log to walk along. Always a crowd pleaser.
A very long tree trunk, all branches removed so it's just the maj trunk that's been cut down and left to lay on the ground. Not sure how to get across how long it is, got to be a couple of buses at least.

Feeling old as people keep stopping at the Bank of England notes display and saying the oldest ones they can remember are 6.

Today we visited the Wellcome Collection. Enjoyed all the exhibitions but particularly the Zine one and 1880 That. Strong performance from the cafe and the museum shop is excellent with a whole wall of medical plush. Cost me a common cold plush.

London Trans Pride march, huge number of people, good atmosphere, this is as corporate as it got. Hasty pride flag in the window, adorable.

This popped up in my photo memories last week so I get to add it to #TidesOutTuesday.
In the foreground a baby is laying on the beach wrapped in a blue woven baby carrying wrap (just a long piece of fabric you tie around yourself and the baby) decorated with embroidered fish. Three jelly tots squidger sweets in neon orange, green and pink. They are little domes. They look like the little foam earplugs you roll up to squidge and expand in your ears.

Managed a PB at parkrun despite the hot weather. Admittedly I should be getting a PB most weeks currently as I used to mostly walk and now I mostly run. But minor details. The mighty oak provided shade and support for stretching afterwards.

As my souvenir t-shirts no longer fit me, I treated myself to a Notch keyring to celebrate my parkrun milestones. Longer lasting than a t-shirt, guaranteed to always fit.
The keyring is a green cord loop with green metal ends. One of the metal ends has 250 written on it in white. It has 5 Notch (brand name) charms on it. They are small metal rings that thread on to the cord. On the keyring are two purple rings, one has 25 volunteers written on it, one just 25 (for runs), there's a red 50, black 100 and green 250 volunteer as well. The purple rings are on the end and then they go in number order.

Completely pointless but you get a nice view.

Went to Scadbury Nature Reserve. Came across this bear statue, which appears to depict a sacrifice as far as I can tell. How charming.

Two years ago today I got a call from a vet asking me if I'd lost my cat. My cat was sat in front of me at the time so I was a little confused. Until I realised she meant the cat we lost 10 years ago and had assumed long dead. And that's how Millie came home, aged 17. Somehow she's still with us.

This is what I'm building next for my Lego set and I've avoided it for a week but it's finally time to grit my teeth and start layering up blue strips.

Bit frosty heading to the shed to collect our parkrun gear this morning. The lock was frozen and took a while to defrost it to get the key in. Then the door was frozen and took a while to open it. Thankfully we got there and Catford parkrun was on.
A wooden gate with a metal handle that lifts up and down to release the gate. The handle is entirely covered in shard of frost, makes it look spiky, like a frost hedgehog.
