The impact of these inequities is deeply concerning. Babies from Black & Black British communities continue to have the highest rate of infant mortality. GRT communities experience higher rates of mental health conditions. The risk of developing diabetes is up x6 higher in South Asian communities.

Est. orgs have consistently shown how health inequities reflect & perpetuate structural racism. These inequities are embedded across systems. They're not b/c of isolated actions by individual orgs - they stem from longstanding structural dynamics, as recognised by health statutory bodies.

We’ve heard loud, clear, and real concerns about heath and health inequities – especially those affecting Black, Middle Eastern, South and East Asian, Gypsy/Roma/Traveller (GRT), and Jewish communities.

As we move into year two, we know we must go further — especially to supercharge our environmental funding. We’re also investing in digital, reimagining how communities experience our funding, and working with partners to ensure AI serves people and communities.
