A neighbor asked last week if we’d be interested in adopting a 10yo retired service dog whose owner must move into assisted-living w/o him. Zeus the Moose came home w us last Fri. He shadows me, is bouncy-happy, checks on me (and I on him), loves food & belly rubs. We’re rescuing each other.🐾❤️🐾

I empathize as I’m reeling from the loss of three wonderful dogs in June - July (undetected cancer, age, oral cancer). Black Lab Gracie never left my side. Nights are worst without her curled up snugly against me.

I love paws-crossed. Our Black Lab, Gracie, crossed her paws more often than not.
