Check out this article on Substack and share it far and wide! Too many times, the current president has advocated for incarceration of some sort (or even worse!) for some of the most vulnerable people amongst us!

If you’re disabled and hearing politicians imply you’re lazy, worthless, or a burden — that harm is real.

The problem is not you.
The problem is a system that values profit over human life.

I’m building advocacy to fight for us.

Disabled people are being ignored and pushed aside. I’m creating a grassroots advocacy agency to push back — speaking directly to lawmakers, the media, and the public.

If you support this work, even $5 helps. You can donate here, or use the QR codes in the image - we also have an Amazon wishlist.

Somehow, we need to amplify the voices of the disabled to drown out the rhetoric of those who so openly stand against us. Intentional cruelty is indefensible, and it is our goal to call out those who have been openly cruel to those of us least able to defend ourselves against this cruelty.

We got our usual response from US rep August Pfluger (R-TX) on one of our messages we sent. We're still waiting for other responses, but this is the usual response from Pfluger. Insert name > Send. I've personally communicated with many in Congress over the years, and most address the issue.

We did make it to the No Kings rally last weekend - here's a few pics

This is absolute bullshit - you have to be a citizen to get Medicaid, Medicare, or ACA. The only money going to undocumented persons for healthcare is ER visits, and you can than Ronald Reagan for that. BTW, #NoKings was great - and peaceful. We will continue to stick up for the disabled.

#NoKings @whitehouse-47.bsky.social Everyone is peaceful. It's all love for our country. These posters tell how #Trump and his cabinet feel about disabled folks.

From a disability advocate. We agree. This is why we call out individuals that push harmful policies that negatively affect disabled folks.

Your support allows us to do more for the disabled community. We can send more letters, print more flyers, attend more demonstrations, and meet with more lawmakers and clients where they are. We can also upgrade office equipment (this computer loses support Tuesday) and restock office supplies.

If you know of anyone who is disabled who is being negatively impacted by pResident Trump's or Governor Abbott's policies, comment below or follow to let them know. We advocate for physically and/or mentally disabled Texans to get better access to care! We also have a presence on other platforms!

Hello all!! This is Tom from CenTex Disability Advocates. We're not 501(c)(3) yet, but we'll get there. We're brand new in the fight for those with physical or mental health disabilities. We're not lawyers - we advocate through media and political contacts to raise awareness and change policy.
