While there are still some small aesthetics that I would improve, this build came out very well. My #1 goal was for it to be solid yet serviceable, and I'm very happy with the results:

Of course this means another set of bolts and threaded inserts to retain the eyelets, but I'm hoping this gives me a professional and bullet-proof design.

I struggled to securely mount this PCB flush without glue or bumps. After many failed tries, I found that crushing wire eyelets to fit into the mount holes and soldering them there gives me the most secure, serviceable result.

Homemade castellated vias actually work pretty well! A 4" diamond wheel on the 4" mini mighty harbor freight "table saw" makes quick work of the PCB edge, allowing for surface-mount PCBs
